Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to identify the antioxidant activity of extracts from Phellinus Linteus cultivated on morus and quercus through the effects on antioxidant enzyme activities. For these purpose, the alteration of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and catalase (CAT) activity assay were carried out. The cytotoxicities of these extracts were measured by MTT assay. The results showed that P. Linteus extract has antioxidant activities. In these assays, GPx and CAT activities were higher than control group’s one, but SOD activities of extract-treated group were lower than control group’s one. Taken together, our results suggest that the extract of P. Linteus increased antioxidant activity via GPx and CAT.
